Loc & Co Carentan

We rented two e-bikes, a mobile phone holder, and a bike bag online. Each bike came with a helmet and bike lock. When we arrived our bikes were ready to go! I highly recommend renting ahead of time using their website. It was easy to navigate. We do not have any previous experience riding to Utah Beach. (Hint: we rode the bike path toward the (bridge) or PONT-CANAL de Carentan then took the bike path on the north-western side of N13 then rode to Portes à FLOTS de la Barquette. (You can only see the bike path using Satellite view.) After that you will start seeing signs along the trail to Utah Beach. We were able to ride all the way to Utah Beach, go to the museum, walk on the beach, have a leisurely lunch, stop several times to see the sites, and return within 6 hours. When we returned we still had over 75% of our battery left and rode at the highest power level on our return. The owner of the Lock & Co Carentan was so kind, friendly, and spoke some English. He used a translator if we had any questions. We would absolutey use Loc & Co Carentan again and I highly recommend!!!! p.s. See some of the photos along the way to Utah.

Highly recommended if you’re anywhere near Carentan-les-Marais. Really easy to book online, very friendly and helpful staff when we picked up the bikes. Rode a well sign posted 50km route out to Utah beach and back via St Mere-Eglise, through beautiful countryside and lovely villages. Lots of places to stop and eat on the way.

Great place, super friendly and well located in Carentan near station and in the centre of town. Rented two electric bikes for the day and travelled about 50 km which we'd never have done on normal bikes. Went all the way to St Mere Eglise and then Utah beach and back. Lovely quiet lanes for cycling and bikes were super comfortable and batteries had plenty more capacity at the end of the day. Would recommend.

A really good experience, with the owner being very patient getting two elderly ladies sorted out! We found the e-bikes a bit heavy, but once up and cycling it was great fun. The business is to be thoroughly recommended.
