L'Ile au Pré sur l'eau

Antoine greeted us with warmth, kindness and respect. The sign up was done without a flaw. After suiting us up with life vests, he escorted us to the dock and helped us on to a very clean and fairly new boat! After carefully guiding us through the check in process of the boat and explaining the lay of the river we went off. What astounded us even more was how he greeted us when we returned to dock; he kindly suggested that we had five or so minutes to spare and waved for us to continue up to the locks and back so we could fully utilise our allotted time…and this was all just at closing time! This young man should be awarded a medal for his service and most important, his human approach towards his clients. He is definitely a worthwhile employee and should be by held with respect and esteem and rewarded accordingly! Overall a wonderful experience thanks to this wonderful young man!🙏👌🏾🧿👍🏽

We spent a pleasant 2 hours, time passed very quickly. It's not easy to photograph the animals, but by slowing down you can get closer to them. Following our walk, we took advantage of the facilities for a drink and a chat, it was great. Antoine who welcomed us is a smiling and pleasant young man, thank you very much for this wonderful moment.

Great family time with our 9 and 10 year old children who love electric boat rides. An extraordinary team of unparalleled kindness with an almost family welcome. We have already sailed with Amélie on the Pampero. Today, we tested the new electric boats as a family (two adults and two 3-year-old children) on the Sambre from the Pont-sur-Sambre nautical stop. First of all, the place is very pleasant with a parking area a few steps from the stop. Reception is at a furnished chalet. Sanitary facilities are nearby. Everything is well signposted. We are testing the Scoop boat to navigate the Sambre. Driving is easy and ultra quiet. After leaving Pont-sur-Sambre, the meanders of the Sambre offer beautiful landscapes. Wild animals were there: buzzard, heron, tits, etc. An educational sheet allows you to identify the wild fauna and flora. Great! The trip is a total disconnection for the family. The ultra-quiet boat does not disturb the animals. By respecting the regulations, we do not disturb fishermen and other boats. We recommend a 1h30 outing to make a round trip between the two locks.
