Great experience! Picked up a bike before closing time on Saturday and returned Monday morning. Alex was wonderful to work with and had the bike properly fitted and waiting for me. The bike itself was in great condition and made for a pleasant day riding through Lyon. Highly recommended. (Lyon is a very bike friendly city with lots of dedicated bike lanes.)

We hired 5 bikes from Lyon Velo and our group of 5 riders all felt total satisfaction with the bikes, which I understand were a French brand, Histoire Touring. We were cycling from Lyon to Beziers following the ViaRhona, a distance of some 430km, with a plan to cover the ride in around 10 days. We were each carrying rear panniers (weight c. 12-14kgm), so we needed good quality touring bikes. Lyon Velo didn't let us down. The bikes had clearly been well serviced, with effortless gear changes and responsive braking and proved well capable of handling the various surfaces we faced. We were provided with a Kryptonite Lock and repair kit for each bike. The hire charges were competitive and in line with other hire companies we looked at. We would certainly go back to Lyon Velo and have no hesitation in giving them a 5 star rating.
