Paris, September 24, 2024 - Lokki, the all-in-one platform dedicated to equipment rental companies, announces a Series A funding round of 6.3 million euros. The round was led by blisce/, an investment firm specializing in high-impact companies, alongside Racine2 (Serena and MakeSense) 50 Partners Impact and a consortium of international funds (FJ Labs and Silence VC).
This financing will enable Lokki to reinforce in-store circularity by developing innovative solutions such as long-term rental, LokkiPayment and LokkiAssurance. The aim is to support thousands of stores, in France and abroad, towards a unique rental model that is both sustainable and profitable, making this option more attractive than purchasing. In line with the recommendations of theFrench Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), Lokki aims to encourage more responsible consumption by democratizing rental. A key lever for reducing the ecological footprint by favoring sharing over owning.
Democratizing sustainable leisure through equipment rental Co-founded in 2019 by Raphaël Masbou and Benoit Prigent, Lokki facilitates access to
leisure experiences, mainly outdoor (cycling, surfing, kayaking, paddle, skiing, gardening, etc.), by offering two main services:
● A SaaS management tool to help professionals easily manage their day-to-day rental business: getlokki.com
● An online marketplace enabling users to rent equipment at the click of a button, anywhere in France: lokki.rent
Lokki therefore targets both rental companies looking to simplify the management of their business, and to offer a better customer experience without red tape, as well as users adopting more sustainable consumption, consuming only according to their immediate needs.
"Rental is a key solution for sustainable and responsible consumption," explains Raphäel Masbou, CEO of Lokki. "Thanks to our all-in-one platform, we simplify management for retailers and facilitate access for users, while promoting a circular and decarbonized economy."
"Lokki embodies a real potential for growth and positive impact by transforming consumption towards a more sustainable model for our society and the planet," says Alexandre Mars, Founder and CEO of blisce/, "We are proud to support this vision."
An opinion shared by Léa Zaslavsky, Partner of the Racine² fund (Serena and makesense), who notes that "at makeSense, as at Serena, we are proud to support the Lokki revolution, which makes rental the cornerstone of a lifestyle where use replaces purchase, for a robust economy that takes into account planetary limits. Thank you to them!"
"We're very happy to have new partners on our side, who support our desire to have a tangible positive impact on society and to expand internationally. By accelerating the development of our marketplace, we will be able to create a strong brand that targets both renters and users within the same ecosystem", concludes Raphaël Masbou.
